Dr. Chu was born in Leicester, United Kingdom. He completed his medical degree at St. Barts. and The Royal London Medical School, UK in 2006. He then completed his Family Medicine Residency program in 2011 in the semi-rural town of Chesterfield. He then returned back to his home town, Leicester and worked as an Associate in an inner-city GP clinic.
In 2015, he decided to relocate to Edmonton, Alberta. He started as a community-based family physician and got involved with teaching medical students. Dr. Chu relocated to Vancouver, BC in March 2017. He has worked at Broadway Plaza Family Practice since May 2021.
